Wirral-born Louisa Roach has built She Drew The Gun into a project that fully lives up to its incendiary name. On Friday 1st May 2026, she brings the raw, transformative energy of her fourth album, ‘Howl’, to the Liverpool Olympia’s newly converted Lounge. Following a journey of deep introspection and healing in the mountains of Portugal, Roach offers a set split between the “gun” – conscious spoken word and sharp social commentary – and the “howl” – a vulnerable exploration of heartbreak and “magical” pop-influenced love songs. Expect a visceral musical world informed by 80’s electronica, hip-hop, political poetry, and the cosmic scouse psychedelia of her hometown roots.
This performance marks a new chapter for one of Liverpool’s most storied landmarks. Originally opened in 1905 as a purpose-built indoor circus & variety theatre, the Grade II* listed Liverpool Olympia has hosted a century of icons from the circus ring to the silver screen.
