We’re Hiring! Community Engagement Co-Ordinator

Thanks to funding from Big Lottery (Awards for All), Liverpool Olympia CIC is looking for a proactive, organised and community-focused person to help build stronger relationships between Liverpool Olympia and the communities around us.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape Olympia Unlocked, a new programme designed to make our historic venue feel like a place that truly belongs to local people.

Working closely with residents, families, schools, community organisations, artists, and delivery partners, you will help develop and coordinate accessible activities including workshops, open days and community events spanning music, circus, visual arts, heritage, storytelling and more.

A key part of the role will also be helping us secure the future of this work. You will identify suitable funding opportunities, support grant applications and partnership proposals, and help develop a realistic longer-term fundraising and community engagement plan for Liverpool Olympia CIC.

We’re looking for someone who is warm, approachable, and confident building relationships, as well as practical enough to turn community ideas into well-organised activity. You will need a proven track record of successful income generation through grant and funding applications at a local, regional, or national level.

We particularly welcome applications from people who live in, work in or have strong connections with Everton East, L5 or L6.

👉Location: Liverpool Olympia, with outreach across Everton East, L5, L6 and the wider Liverpool community
👉Salary: £15,000 per annum (£30,000 FTE)
👉Working Hours: Part-time — 2.5 days per week
👉Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months
👉Proposed start date: September 2026
👉Application deadline: 31st August 2026

This is a chance to help one of Liverpool’s most distinctive historic venues become a genuine community resource, while building the partnerships and funding needed to sustain that work for the future.
